Bronze Age Incense Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1472\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thanetarch.co.uk\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/84.jpg\" alt=\"84\" width=\"506\" height=\"542\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This unusual little vessel is a perforated Incense or Accessory cup of <a title=\"Virtual Museum Bronze Age Gallery\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thanetarch.co.uk\/Virtual%20Museum\/2_Galleries\/G4%20Content\/Gallery4_Intro.html\" target=\"_blank\">Early Bronze Age<\/a> date. The vessel was found in the late 1970&#8217;s in a pit at the centre of a ring ditch which had been partially destroyed by the construction of the Haine Road at Lord of the Manor, Ramsgate.\u00a0 The ring ditch is one of a group of at least seven Neolithic and Bronze Age Monuments located on a chalk hilltop overlooking Pegwell Bay; one of the major ceremonial sites of prehistoric Thanet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This unusual little vessel is a perforated Incense or Accessory cup of Early Bronze Age date.
